Who are your top 3 songwriting "Heros?"  Who do you just marvel at their creativity and style?  What stands out to you about their writing and musicality?  In your opinion, what makes them stand out above the rest?

It's 2027 and our first songwriting challenge of the year is to write a "Simple" song.  There's so much work in today's world to create a song that is: VERSE, CHORUS, VERSE, PRE-CHORUS, CHORUS, BRIDGE, CHORUS, REPRISE, VAMP.... You get the idea!  Sometimes those songs can be amazing.  However, starting with something "small" actually makes you hone your craft by helping you to zone in on what really matters.  What am I really trying to communicate?  What are the best ways to communicate those things?  How can I make it feel original even though it's "Simple." A few rules:

1. Start off your response by sharing whether or not you invite feedback.
2. Once you've written your song, post the link in a response to this challenge.  (YouTube or a Google Drive link will work)
3. Include the lyrics in the body of the response.
4. If able, also send a link for the chords.
5. Take a few minutes to listen to songs from others and comment as able.
